Monday, October 29th 2007 is the long awaited official date on which our fantasy drawing will begin it's journey from permit to Barbie Dream Pool. We have some decisions to make still but are at least sure we know who will be doing the work. Pools by George will be doing the majority of the process. (George is dead. The man who is carrying on is Dave, I already have his work, home & cell numbers on speed dial.) If you are a Floridian, you know the horror stories & trauma that surrounds having a pool built. For those not in the know; the list may include but is not limited to: Holes dug & left to breed mosquitoes in one's backyard for months on end, payments made & no phone calls returned, extra fees not mentioned in the original quote, terrible service after the fact.... the list is endless!!

I believe we've found the right guys at the right price. I will be leaving this blog open though... anyone with insight may speak up. I'll be posting progress as it occurs. FYI, I've been promised this will be a done project in six weeks. Six weeks to the day will be Dec. 10th. If we are swimming by Christmas, I will be overwhelmed with joy, knowing we made a good choice. Otherwise, I'll be exhuming George's corpse & following Dave around with it while I call him repeatedly on speed dial day & night.
